Fly Fishing Clubs
Fly fishing clubs are a great place to learn, apply, and share knowledge of a great outdoor sport. Fly fishing clubs are the best "hands on" resource if you are thinking of entering the fly fishing experience. Fly fishing clubs are often regional in nature. You can usually find a club that caters exclusively to residents of the state of Michigan or Washington. You can also find a fly fishing club that is geared toward beginning fly fishers or one that gives tips and advice about how to tie flies or the best casting techniques to use.

One of the greatest advantages of a supportive fly fishing club is the opportunity to go on fishing vacations with people you meet. When you get to know people who share your love of fly fishing, they are eager to co-mingle with other people who share their passion.

If you are a member of an Internet club for fly fishers, it can be fun to make plans to meet at a designated spot to get together for some well deserved R & R while fly fishing. You can find camaraderie and friendship by joining a fly fishing club plus, you can learn a lot about the sport from fellow club members.

Dorchester Fishing Club

The Club is a private one, founded in 1877, of approximately fifty-nine members and six Town Rod subscribers. The Club's waters consist of about 7 miles of wild brown trout & grayling fishing in the main River Frome & River Cerne, together with attendant carriers and side streams. The waters extend both above and below the town of Dorchester and the Club employs a part-time keeper.

Crediton Fly Fishing Club

We are a small-stream "fly only" fishing club based in Crediton, a small market town in Devon, nestled between Dartmoor and Exmoor, yet only 7 miles from Exeter. The Club controls approximately six miles of the Rivers Creedy, Yeo and Culvery, most of which is double bank fishing. These streams have abundant fly life, including a Mayfly hatch, which, together with many terrestrials ensure superb opportunities to fish the dry fly for wild brown trout throughout most of the season. Because of our abundant trout populations,

we do not need to stock our rivers, and consequently we are now one of the very few clubs in the South West to be able to offer true wild brown trout fishing. In addition, the club also leases one and a half miles of the River Taw above Coldridge, which provides excellent sport for wild brown trout with the bonus of a run of sea-trout and the occasional salmon, and also has access to an excellent beat on the River Exe for winter grayling fishing.

Bearsden Angling Club

Interested in fly fishing for Trout? Then we might just be the club for you, whether new to the sport of fly fishing or a seasoned veteran you'll be made very welcome. Founded in 1958 by the anglers of Bearsden and Milngavie, we are a friendly and informal bunch passionate about the pursuit of Trout fishing. Our home water is 'Loch Humphrey' which nestles in the Kilpatrick hills, not far from Old Kilpatrick itself. We occassionally stock the water but one of our best kept secrets is the head of naturalised trout the loch now supports. When a hatch is on of a summers evening the 'rise' has to be seen to be believed! Traditional loch style fishing prevails typically from the bank although there is a 12' boat and boathouse should members wish to try their luck on open water. The use of outboards is currently not permitted on the loch.
